Experience The Difference of Botanica Medella’s Garlic Formulation

1.  Allicin content: at least 2000 mcg per serving

The FDA does not regulate herbal supplements. That's why we adhere to the standards set forth by the U.S. Pharmacopoeial Convention USP, a convention of 300 delegates of state and national associations and scientists that was first established in 1900 to set standards for healthcare products (1).

Following USP standards is a requirement in the pharmaceutical industry but is a choice for dietary supplement manufacturers

Per the USP, any garlic powder must supply at least 2000 mcg of allicin and 5000 mcg of alliin for each 1 gram of powder

BOTANICA MEDELLA GARLIC ADHERES TO THE USP STANDARDS FOR BOTH ALLICIN AND ALLIIN MINIMUM CONTENT

2. Exact Allicin Content is confirmed by a 3rd Independent Party - TWICE

The USP allicin standard is only a guideline for the MINIMUM amount of allicin that should be present in a garlic supplement. Botanica Medella's garlic capsules' actual allicin content is much more than that.

To ensure quality, the allicin content of the garlic used in our formula is tested once before production, and another time after the production is complete as part of our quality control process

THE ALLICIN CONTENT IS TESTED BY EUROFINS SCIENTIFIC, USA

3. Manufacturing Facility: Certified Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) facility.

We don't just use a cGMP-compliant facility to cut on costs and quality. We manufacture our products in a pharmaceutical facility that is registered as a Drug Establishment with the FDA and holds a Drug Manufacturing License issued by the State of California Food and Drug Branch.

Our facility also has a "Foreign Site" registration reference number with the Canadian government that is required for natural health products to be distributed in Canada.

Furthermore, our manufacturing facility is registered with the NSF Dietary Supplements Good Manufacturing Practice Registration program - the only accredited American National Standard program in the dietary supplement industry developed in accordance with the FDA’s 21 CFR part 111.

4. Delayed Release Capsule Ensures that most of our Garlic is released in the intestine where it is Directly Absorbed

Contrary to what some people think. absorption of nutrients happens in the small intestine, not the stomach. In fact, the acidity of the stomach destroys an essential enzyme in garlic called alliinase. Moreover, ingesting garlic may cause stomach discomfort and heartburn. That's why our capsules are formulated to delay the release of its garlic content until it leaves the stomach where the alliinase enzyme remains intact, and allicin absorption and amount are maximized, while stomach discomfort and garlic breath are minimized.

IT'S ESSENTIAL TO TAKE BOTANICA MEDELLA's GARLIC AFTER A FULL MEAL
Please note that how fast your stomach pushes food into the intestine varies from one person to another. Our formula is designed with a stomach-emptying time range of 7.5-82.5 minutes.
People who have a stomach-emptying rate slower than 82.5 minutes, may experience discomfort from our garlic, please reach out for a full refund if that happens to you

5. Quality Ingredients

We only use Certified-Organic, Non-GMO garlic produce that has been tested for variety, and heavy metals

The only other ingredient used in our formula (to help with manufacturing) is organic rice husk, which has been shown to reduce inflammatory markers in people who are overweight (2).

The garlic we use is certified organic by Ecocert (France)

6. No Preservatives, No Polymers, No Chemical Coating, No sugar Added

7. No Bleaching, No Chemicals, No UV-irradiation
